At the end of World War II. 1,800 German soldiers on their way back home were sent by the Allies to the Danish West Coast to comb the beaches for landmines and defuse them. Many of the Germans were killed in this brutally dangerous mission. This is the story of a young German soldier who made a daring escape against all odds through the hidden landmines to reach a home which no longer existed.
